    This CLE will discuss how the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion relate to jury trial practice and how trial counsel can take advantage of opportunities and avoid pitfalls during the jury trial.

    About Your Speaker:

    David MasonJUDGE DAVID MASON was born in Nashville, Tennessee. He was appointed Circuit Judge in August of 1991, retained in 1992, 1998, 2004, 2010, 2016 and 2022. Prior to his appointment, Judge Mason served as an Assistant Attorney General, general counsel to the Missouri Department of Corrections and was in private practice. Judge Mason has been a teacher of Trial Advocacy for The National Institute For Trial Advocacy, The Yeshiva University Benjamin Cardozo School of Law and several bar associations.

    He also has served as an adjunct professor of law at the Washington University School of Law since 1989. Judge Mason is married to Taunia L. Allen and they have 2 children: William and Harrison.

    Membership/Associations: Missouri Bar, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, American Bar Association, Mound City Bar Association, Catholic Church, American Law Institute, St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority (1990 -’91), Life Member, and Urban League of America. Boards: American Judicature Society (1998 – 2000), Regional Housing and Community Development Alliance, Affordable Housing Commission, and St. Patrick’s Center.
